Willoughby Mariano is an investigative reporter at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Yale University graduate previously worked at the Orlando Sentinel and is a proud alum of the Los Angeles Time's METPRO diversity training program. Past recognition includes a National Headliner Award in investigative journalism, the Atlanta Press Club’s award for civil and human rights reporting, and the Asian American Journalists Association’s Al Neuharth Award for Innovation in Investigative Journalism. She is president of the AAJA Atlanta chapter and co-chair of the 2019 national convention, but her proudest achievement was that she lasted two months as a singer at an Italian restaurant.
