Brendan Keefe
Brendan Keefe is the chief investigative reporter for The Reveal on 11Alive.
Brendan is among the top investigative journalists in the nation. His investigations have been honored with every major national broadcast journalism award including the Peabody, DuPont-Columbia, five National Murrows, the IRE (Investigative Reporters & Editors) Award, the Scripps Howard Award, the American Legion's Fourth Estate Award, and the Hillman Prize.
He has won a career total of 98 Emmys.
Before joining 11Alive in 2014, Brendan spent a quarter century anchoring and reporting for several network affiliates around the nation, including five years at Houston’s KPRC, and another five at WCBS in New York City. He was embedded with the US Army as a war correspondent during the Iraq war, completing multiple reporting tours in the Middle East.
Brendan leads The Reveal team, but he works primarily alone as his own photographer, researcher, producer, and video editor. TEGNA Media tapped Brendan as its lead multi-skilled journalist, training MSJs at the company’s 60 television stations. He is also on the visiting faculty of Poynter Institute where he teaches Power Reporting.
