Omar Rashad is a student representative of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association and the Editor-in-Chief of The Union, El Camino College' student-run newspaper. He has covered everything from local breaking news and state legislation to homelessness and education and is most interested in reporting on how religion and culture play into the lived experiences of minorities in the United States.
