Some of the wildest passion projects can become viral sensations that resonate with more audiences than imaginable. Digital strategist and screenwriter William Yu created the #StarringJohnCho campaign in 2016 to show what it would look like if today's Hollywood blockbusters cast an Asian American actor. Two years after Yu launched his social movement, actor John Cho became a leading man in the 2018 movie "Searching." Yu talks about what it takes to launch his initiative and how you can use research to advance the cause of increasing representation of people of color in the media.

Set during World War II, the haunting and suspenseful, second season of the horror-infused anthology, The Terror: Infamy, centers on a series of bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community, and a young man's journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible.
The series stars Derek Mio as Chester Nakayama; Kiki Sukezane (Lost in Space) as Yuko, a mysterious woman from Chester’s past; Cristina Rodlo (Miss Bala) as Luz, Chester’s secret girlfriend; Shingo Usami (Unbroken) as Henry Nakayama, Chester's father; Naoko Mori (Everest) as Asako Nakayama, Chester’s mother; Miki Ishikawa (9-1-1) as Amy, a Nakayama family friend; and renowned actor, producer, author and activist George Takei (Star Trek) as Yamato-san, a community elder and former fishing captain.
The Terror: Infamy is an AMC Studios production produced by Scott Free, Emjag Productions and Entertainment 360. The show is co-created and executive produced by Alexander Woo and Max Borenstein, with Woo also serving as showrunner. Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert, Guymon Casady and Jordan Sheehan also serve as executive producers.

AMC's "The Terror: Infamy" How Hollywood is Telling the Story of One of the Darkest Moments in Our Nation's History, Panel, Mercer Ballroom
Helmed by showrunner Alexander Woo ("True Blood"), "The Terror: Infamy" is a haunting and suspenseful series set in Japanese internment camps during World War II. The series features a cast and crew with a number of personal connections to this historical time, starting with George Takei, who lived in two internment camps as a child, is on board as a series regular and consultant. The lead character is played by Derek Mio, a fourth generation Japanese American, whose grandfather lived on Terminal Island and was sent to Manzanar internment camp after Pearl Harbor. Mio also recently appeared in “Medal of Honor,” (Netflix docu-series) where he portrayed WWII Medal of Honor Recipient Hiroshi Miyamura.
The discussion will feature "The Terror" lead actor Derek Mio, actor/consultant George Takei and showrunner Alexander Woo
