I’m a journalist in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been at KTVU Fox2 News since 2007. I got my first job through the AAJA job fair and have been active in AAJA since 1999. I reported and anchored at KBJR in Duluth, Minnesota and WDTN in Dayton, Ohio before moving to California. I’ve been honored to receive multiple Emmys, AP and SPJ awards. Graduated with honors from Oberlin College with two majors: English literature and East Asian Studies. My experiences working in Japan after college helped, as I reported from Tokyo following the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. I am a Midwesterner who loves pursuing truth and good story-telling. Always glad to help young journalists and other liberal arts majors apply their critical thinking skills and find a career in journalism.
